Choosing a compact that fits your beauty collection.
Look beyond the silhouette. Bring the format, components and opening experience into the same conversation.
MCPA Journal · Packaging notes
Begin with the intended application
Describe whether the compact is intended for cushion foundation, powder or another complexion product. Share the proposed filling format and explain how the user should access and apply the product.
Ask the supplier to confirm which model and component configuration are suitable for the application. A similar exterior does not establish that two compacts have the same internal structure.
Review the complete configuration
Consider the base, lid, insert and any accessories together. Discuss the target dimensions, opening action and the appearance of visible joins.
Use a sample to review these details in context. Record the chosen components rather than relying only on a reference image.
Connect the design to your brand
Bring your artwork, color references and preferred surface finish into the brief. Identify which details should coordinate with the rest of the collection.
Confirm decoration feasibility and review the result on the chosen model before approving the final appearance.
Bring your packaging brief into focus.
